The Urban Share Opportunity Fund is operated by FSA-authorised Real Estate Associates Limited, a company formed in 2002 by Ian Dowson and Alan Bate, the former directors of Royal & Sun Alliance Property Investments Ltd. It is structured as an English Limited Partnership open to sophisticated private investors and investment professionals with a minimum subscription of £25,000 per investor, some of whom are using the scheme to invest in residential property through their SIPPs and SSASs.
