Urban Capital Partners was founded by Richard Klin in 2001 primarily as a vehicle for his own portfolio. Using this initial portfolio a high yield rental model of creating flatshares for young professionals was developed, with properties often achieving yields in excess of 10%. Following this the company founded the ground breaking Urban Share Residential Investment Fund, the first Fund of its type to use new legislation to allow SIPP investors access to residential property.
The Urban Share brand was established in 2005 to focus on the student and young professional market in London. It currently has a portfolio of more than 80 flat shares around the City of London and Canary Wharf and has over 400 tenants.
Urban Share has continued to grow during the credit crunch as customers look for affordable and quality accommodation. Building on this success Urban Capital Partners has recently successfully launched a new larger fund, The Urban Share Opportunity Fund LP. Urban Capital Partners also sources and manages investments on behalf of private clients.
Urban Capital Partners are based in Devonshire Square at the heart of the City of London.
